The Gunpowder Plot Immersive Experience Reviews

4.6 Rating 2,236 Reviews
Absolutely fantastic experience! We started our experience by having a meal and a drink. The food was delicious and the service excellent! All the staff were very attentive and our server Etta was exceptional. We fully immersed ourselves in the experience and interacted with the actors. We had so much fun pretending we were back in 1605. The virtual reality had me squealing with fright at the height I was over the Thames! After the experience we had a few cocktails in the bar, very nice they were too! All in all a very enjoyable day out and I must repeat how friendly and attentive the staff were.

Very well done but more help could have been provided for older members of the group with headsets etc. I think it should be made more apparent when booking how much mobility you need and how fast paced the experience is. I was really well performed and I would recommend to others

The whole experience was well thought out and the actors were amazing. My daughter (aged 9 so slightly younger than recommended) thoroughly enjoyed the drama, the VR and learning about the history - and was “only a little bit scared”.

3 stars because the actors are simply wonderful. They absolutely make the whole experience worthwhile. The CGI graphics are great, but not exactly relevant. There is too much standing around waiting for something to happen. There is no 'excitement' or 'urgency' about it at all. It feels a bit flat. Go to be entertained by the acting and the virtual reality cheesy bits. Bar prices on a London standard, but photos and souvenirs ridiculously overpriced.

This was not the polished, transporting experience we expected. More like an amateur student production. Perhaps it will get better as the run continues. That said, it was a somewhat entertaining way for two teenagers to learn a bit of history, hence the two stars.
