“This 2ply wool is incredibly soft and strong. I bought it to knit a lace snood for my niece and it was ideal because it isn't itchy around her neck. Merino wool is lovely, fine and is less likely to 'pill' than many other wools, including cashmere but, like cashmere, it is soft against the skin. It was nice to knit, although I have to admit that a lacy pattern in fine, black wool on four different sizes of circular needles isn't the easiest thing i have knitted, especially in the evenings! I am used to knitting sock in fine wool on four needles and I prefer them to the circular ones. The materials were bought from Laughing Hens, who were very helpful in exchanging the circular needles for shorter ones and the 4 ply merino wool I had bought for this 2ply mix. I have bought from them before and they re extremely helpful..”
