“The ladder is being used in a listed house near Edinburgh, so domestic situation. Our requirement was for a ladder to fit an existing hatch opening and fit within truss spacings, not easy to find ladder to meet all but very pleased. Only observation there is no mention of the strap although I found it to be essential.”

“We are planning to site a gas boiler in the loft and part of the building code is to have a permanent means of access for service and installation. To our surprise, quotations included the installation of said loft ladder. Being experienced at DIY I thought I could save some money and get the ladder I wanted. The criteria was for a ladder which was rated and satisfied safety standards, as well as folding into a limited height above the hatch. This was where Ladderstore was great because I could use their Loft Ladder Guaranteed Fit service. All calculations are done for you and a recommendation given. The measurement asked were thorough. Left to my own calculations I would have gone for 2.6m but Ladderstore said 2.9 m. We are really pleased with the loft ladder and Ladderstore and would recommend them to friends and contacts we have. We can now easily access the loft and installation was reasonably straight forward as a video was available via a YouTube link. My wife is able to use them and even fitted a cover for the ladder to retract into, acting as a dust cover. Thank you Ladderstore!”
