“The frame and door are made of very light mouldings. The result is that the frame twists and distorts unless the ceiling is absolutely flat. I used a spirit level to adjust the frame but it is still not perfect. The door is even more of a problem when trying to close it as it twists and bends in the middle of the longer side under its own weight . This makes it almost impossible to align the multiple catches along the sides of the door with the slots for them in the frame. I could only close the hatch by pushing up the door at the side at the same time as closing the door using the single point for a pole. This makes it impossible to use it from the floor with just a pole which was the whole purpose of buying the hatch.,”
