“The purchase was a mandarin goby. Lots of good advice given by staff. I regretted my choice for a while the next morning thinking that I’ve just made my tank much more complicated but he’s such a star and a fantastic addition to my set up. Eating well, looking good and soon came out of his shell. Fascinating to watch!”

“Obi Wan the Watchman Gobi is Nips friend who I reviewed earlier. They are great pals and live in what I've christened 'Stinky Burrow' together. I don't know if Obi Wan is a boy or a girl Gobi, if it's the reef version of the Odd Couple, or Home to Roost, or if its more like Man About the House or Robins Nest instead. ( Yes, you're showing your age if you get those references) but for this reviews purpose, I've decided upon it being a he. Obi is a grump.And a scary cat. But mostly a grump. He sits there at the front of Stinky Burrow, which luckily is also the front of the tank, with a big frown on his face watching stuff so his mate Nips can do his digging. Sometimes he just sits there and gurns at you even if Nips is off elsewhere. Which is all well and good until you move, or the dog barks or the sun goes in and he dashes off back down into Stinky Burrow quicker than a really quick thing. Then after he a few minutes, he pokes his head out at starts grimacing at you again. Sometimes the bigger of my two clown fish ( Gacy, is her name, she has a tiny little submissive male friend called Pennywise), goes down to tell Obi who is the boss. Sometimes Obi will run away, other times he opens his mouth really wide and chases Gacy away, spouting stuff about the Force and midiclorians as he goes. Anyway, Nips likes him, the are always doing stuff together and after all, thats what we all want isn't it really? A friend we can do stuff with. So yes I'd recommend buying a matched pair of pistol shrimp and watchman gobi from Kraken, they have both been a welcome addition to my tank.”
