“I put together a jump guard for a 130G with two cut outs for lights and it took about 3 hours. I'm good with this sort of thing so that gives you an idea of how fiddly it might be for you. There was a lot of measuring and I was worried about getting metal filings in the tank the whole time. Now it's done, I'm happy with the results but it was a tad frustrating at times (put on some uplifting music before you start). After putting in the netting, I realised that the netting was pulling in the edge with the light cutout, so I had to take the netting out, slacken it and add a brace bar. I also had difficulty with the corners. To leave enough space in the corner for my Jecod SOW4 wire, I cut into the plastic corner piece (as per the instructions) but the Jecod SOW8 wire seemed significantly wider and I felt I was cutting quite a lot out of the corner piece to make room for the wire. Overall, it works, looks tidy and thankfully you can remove and re-tighten the netting, provided you don't cut the excess off prematurely. As far as DIY kits go, this is great. One thing I didn't notice when ordering was that the kit comes with three braces (two clips on braces and one that forms part of the frame) so the extra braces I bought were unnecessary. At least I've got spares, now.”
