About KNOOPS:

Jens Knoop has had a strong relationship with chocolate since his childhood in rural Germany. In 2013, he decided to share his passion and opened the first Knoops store in Rye, East Sussex. Today, our expertly crafted chocolate drinks and coffee can either be prepared by one of our Knoopologists in store, or created by our customers themselves at home.

We are experts in the craft of creating the perfect drinking chocolate - a process we call 'Knoopology'. The Knoops concept is based around our carefully curated percentage menu, which offers a wide range of chocolates to suit all tastes. Our real chocolate flakes can be used with one of our hand-picked hot chocolate makers to create the unique Knoops experience at home.

“A really good quality chocolate but ridiculously expensive. The recommendation is to use a lot more of the chocolate flakes to make a drink than any of their competitors. Someone from Knoops needs to try and open their fleek cardboard tube containers because they are very difficult to get the lids off. We'lit would be nice not to see the flakes in a plastic bag. The whole thing comes very over packaged and I'm sure costs could be cut and passed on to the customer. Taste wise, it is certainly one of the better quality chocolate drinks on the market, but the pricing makes this a very expensive purchase especially when you order several different variants.”

“As with all my purchases, I am very pleased. On its own the 80% is rich and luxurious, and is also good mixed in various proportions with 72%”

“I was one of Knoops first ever customers when the shop opened in Rye. I loved there and it was a fantastic place to live. Knoops made it even better. Lens was the owner and we both used the same bloke to cut our hair so we ended up with the same haircut! Anyway the hot chocolate served in handleless bowels was the best hot chocolate we'd ever had. So now we live in Derbyshire we have to have it delivered. It's still amazing.”
