About KNOOPS:

Jens Knoop has had a strong relationship with chocolate since his childhood in rural Germany. In 2013, he decided to share his passion and opened the first Knoops store in Rye, East Sussex. Today, our expertly crafted chocolate drinks and coffee can either be prepared by one of our Knoopologists in store, or created by our customers themselves at home.

We are experts in the craft of creating the perfect drinking chocolate - a process we call 'Knoopology'. The Knoops concept is based around our carefully curated percentage menu, which offers a wide range of chocolates to suit all tastes. Our real chocolate flakes can be used with one of our hand-picked hot chocolate makers to create the unique Knoops experience at home.

“Prefer the stronger version to the milkier one but both scrummy. Lovely gift idea too. Made mine in lavazza milk frother, perfect for one big cup with marshmallow”

Hello, if your preferred chocolate is dark, we would recommend trying 54% and above, our extra dark chocolate is 70% and above. Enjoy experimenting with Knoopology at home!

“A bit too milk chocolatey for my tastes but great mixed with darker flakes. My kids love it though as it is yummy. Just personal preference.”

“Delicious, creamy chocolate. I've been really surprised by how much I love the milk chocolate variations when I'm usually a dark chocolate fan, but there is a lovely amount of sweetness to these. I would definitely recommend making them on the hob, with a whisk, to get all the flakes to melt and the ultimate amount of creaminess.”

“This is my favourite hot chocolate made with the shaker it tasted just as good as the ones from the cafe. Now I can have fabulous hot chocolate whenever I want it.”
