About KNOOPS:

Jens Knoop has had a strong relationship with chocolate since his childhood in rural Germany. In 2013, he decided to share his passion and opened the first Knoops store in Rye, East Sussex. Today, our expertly crafted chocolate drinks and coffee can either be prepared by one of our Knoopologists in store, or created by our customers themselves at home.

We are experts in the craft of creating the perfect drinking chocolate - a process we call 'Knoopology'. The Knoops concept is based around our carefully curated percentage menu, which offers a wide range of chocolates to suit all tastes. Our real chocolate flakes can be used with one of our hand-picked hot chocolate makers to create the unique Knoops experience at home.

“I assumed this product contained hot chocolate powder, and was very disappointed to find I had ordered five empty cardboard boxes. On one hand, I'll admit that I rushed through the online shop too quickly. On the other hand, I thought this product contained hot chocolate powder because a) Knoops is known for selling hot chocolate, not boxes, b) they cost £4.50 each, c) the product name refers to a number of tubes, and d) the product name is not 'box' but 'gift box', like your 'gift set' which does include hot chocolate. This customer feedback survey is the first place I have seen the product referred to as 'Gift packaging'. I wonder if these words were deliberately omitted from the webpage. For these reasons I believe your website is misleading and this, in part, led to me ordering a disappointing product. Please would it be possible to arrange a full refund, including the delivery charge and the cost of returning the product to you, because I found your online shop misleading. I have emailed your hello@ address in response to my order confirmation, so please reply to me there.”

Hi Rachel, Thank you the feedback and sorry for the any confusion this has caused. Please note the box name refers to how many tubes it can hold in order to make building a gift on our website easier and our flakes start at £11.95. We have noted this feedback and passed it onto the the team, please note we would not omit or use wording that misleads customers and will address this. I believe this has now been sorted via email. “Well worth getting a gift box for a gift. Sturdy black box sometimes with a ribbon. Makes gift extra special . The chocolate flakes are better than a well known high street brand. Really lovely with a marshmallow on the side.”
