Jens Knoop has had a strong relationship with chocolate since his childhood in rural Germany. In 2013, he decided to share his passion and opened the first Knoops store in Rye, East Sussex. Today, our expertly crafted chocolate drinks and coffee can either be prepared by one of our Knoopologists in store, or created by our customers themselves at home.

We are experts in the craft of creating the perfect drinking chocolate - a process we call 'Knoopology'. The Knoops concept is based around our carefully curated percentage menu, which offers a wide range of chocolates to suit all tastes. Our real chocolate flakes can be used with one of our hand-picked hot chocolate makers to create the unique Knoops experience at home.

How was the delivery of your order? Good

“The hot chocolate flakes are really good I however can't use the shaker /starter kit at all. It's dangerously leaking when attempting to use making the starter kit poor. I've contacted knoops to explain this and ask for a replacement or refund.”

How was the delivery of your order? Good

“A delicious choice as a Christmas present for my husband that I get to enjoy too! The shaker is so easy to use and really does make a super creamy and frothy drink (we use both dairy and oat milk). The 34% chocolate is divine. My husband had the chance to visit your Exeter cafe over Christmas (we live on the west Wales coast) and bought the lightest of the dark chocolate as supplies were low after the festive season. It’s very good though we prefer the milkier chocolate and will certainly buy again. Wish we lived nearer one of your cafe’s!”

“Unfortunately the tin arrived dented and damaged. I eventually received a refund of £8 but as part of the gift set to be given as a Christmas present it wasn’t great.”
