L S Lowry A Village Square Modern Art Art Print Reviews

A Village Square shows a town alive with movement as matchstick figures run, walk and mingle in the street. The work is a fine example of the style and subject matter that would gain the artist widespread acclaim. The depiction of northern industrial life is painted in the same six oils that he worked with on all his paintings, adding to the instantly recognisably nature of his work. This print is a fine example of Lowry's personal interpretation of the environment where he grew up and lived.

A very interesting and busy scene with many points of conversation. Slightly more colour than many other, more well known Lowry works which suits my decor beautifully. The quality of the print is excellent and I am extremely pleased with the efficiency of service from initial order to delivery.

I have loved this painting by LS Lowry for a long time. The painting is all I expected and I couldn’t wait to hang it on my wall. The quality of the frame and glass is so good which makes such a difference.
