We love this painting (even my conservative husband). There is something that draws your eye and you run over the colours & hues which are simultaneously calming and enlivening. We stayed with the white frame shown and it opens the picture out and does not distract. Love it.

In hues of vibrant strokes, a masterpiece unfolds, Frank Bowling's "Rupununi" tells tales untold. With palette ablaze, his brush dances in glee, Creating a realm where nature's wonders run free. A symphony of colors adorns the canvas, As if whispering secrets of a distant landmass. Emerald greens, golden yellows, and sapphire blues, Unveiling the soul of Guyana, a muse he chooses. Rupununi's vast savannah spreads like a quilt, Where memories of childhood are tenderly built. The artist's touch captures each blade of grass, Bringing alive the wilderness with exquisite class. The sun's warm embrace bathes the distant hills, Casting shadows that dance, a thrill that instills. Through abstract splashes, a river winds and meanders, Revealing life's flow, its twists and turns in grandeur. Celestial clouds, like dreams suspended in air, Invite us to ponder, to wander and to dare. Bowling's skillful hand creates a celestial map, Guiding us through dimensions, from lap to lap. Layers upon layers, his technique unfolds, As he experiments with depth, as stories are told. Textures emerge, inviting hands to explore, A tactile journey, evoking awe to the core. Within the canvas, echoes of history dwell, Colonial remnants, ancestral tales they tell. Frank Bowling's "Rupununi" is a mirror, reflective, Challenging perceptions, emotions it's directive. With every stroke, his love for nature transcends, A testament to beauty that never pretends. Oh, "Rupununi," a symphony of hues so grand, In this poetic painting, we find solace firsthand.
