“Dramatic ambivalence. Is the figure reaching for the stars, or falling amongst them? The black figure suggests both aspiration and doom, the drama of the body shape both effort and failure. The vivid colours enhance the drama: A few specks of light and a desperate crimson heart piercing the implacable blue.”
