I have been impressed for so many years by the late period of Rothko painting. Both the shape and the size of his paintings and above all the use of contrasting colours captured me, particularly in a very large museum hall where some Rothko’s works are exhibited to the public. The red (on pink) reproduction I purchased has a twin significance in the setting where it was located: it represents a strong spot of light on an otherwise dark part of the room; likewise, it represents a sort of continuity with an arm-chair whose red/orange colour is shining few meters apart.

Beautiful print and beautifully framed. Bought as a gift and the recipient loved it.

The print is great quality, the red might be a bit pale, not sure though, I haven't seen the original in a while. The frame is very light, but built and finished well. Very pleased overall.
