This lithographic poster originates from the archives of the Parisian printing studio, Atelier Mourlot. The studio grew to fame in the early twentieth century for reviving traditional limestone lithography by collaborating with contemporary artists of the time, including Braque, Picasso and Matisse. This limited edition poster was printed by Mourlot for an exhibition of Atelier Mourlot lithographs at The Seibu Department Stores in Japan in 1984, as part of a portfolio of four images by Matisse, Picasso, Braque and Leger. It is based on the poster design for the Mourlot centennial exhibition in 1952. Limited number available.
