This high quality print is based on a hand-coloured printed lithograph entitled Narcissus, lithographed by Charles Joseph Hullmandel (1789-1850) after an original by Valentine Bartholomew (1799-1879). From Bartholomew's 'A Selection of Flowers Adapted Principally for Students', published in London by R. Ackermann in 1821-1822. Bartholomew's book includes 36 hand-coloured lithographs and is one of the first works to employ lithography for botanical illustration. Plate [4].

Excellent quality, difficult to compare with similar products as I couldnt find similar products. I had 'a look' in mind' for my conservatory and botanical prints were just the job to further bring the 'outside in'. They look stunning, I am delighted- every time I walk in they catch my eye against a deep green background. Wish I had more space to add more.
