Painted in Vancouver Canada in the late 90's this compelling oil painting captures some busy bee's, as they visited a gorse bush in my back garden. Vibrant yellow blossoms contrast against the blue Canadian sky, and jump forward from the tangled blurred background. I remember from my childhood in England, playing in my parents garden and watching the bee's. It all seemed so big to me then, perhaps it is this early memory that has lead to me painting so many huge floral works.
