The bike is beyond our expectations, really sturdy and fantastic quality. I'm so glad we chose to buy Kidvelo. Thank you to Karen and Gary once again.

My 8-year-old grandaughter had ridden bikes with stabilizers but had no sense of balance when the stabilizers were taken off the bike. I purchased the Rookie 18 balance bike for her and her younger sister age 5. It took just 2 sessions before she was able to cycle. The first session started with her only being able to do 2-3 meters without putting her foot down but finished with her being able to do the full length of 100 meters down a gentle tarmac slope. She was delighted and did not want to stop. For the second session, I put on the pedals and started with her pedaling on a gentle grass slope in a park. Within a few minutes, she became confident at pedaling and keeping her balance at the same time. We then moved to the adjacent tarmac park road and soon she was pedaling a 400 meters course full of confidence, as fast as she could, and was grinning from ear to ear. A balance bike that can then have pedals fitted is the best solution to learning how to ride rather than a bike with stabilizers. I just wish she had been given one a few years earlier.

My daughter has been riding a heavy pedal bike for years with stabilisers and hated it. She struggled to balance, didn't want to learn and rarely went out on her bike. I saw this advertised and thought I'd give it a go. Within a day of scooting around without the pedals she'd mastered the balance she'd struggled with for years with her old bike. Within a week or two she was desperate for her pedals to be installed and now she can ride it like a pro! The transition to pedals was really easy for her this time. She loves it. The colour is beautiful, it's the lightest bike I've ever felt and I can tell its made well. I am so impressed that I'm going to buy my almost 2 year old one for his birthday too. Wish I'd bought one sooner! Would recommend to anyone, without a doubt.
