About Kidvelo Bikes:

Kidvelo® Bikes is an exciting new brand launched in 2021, specialising in manufacturing kids' balance bikes, some which convert to lightweight pedal bikes. The founders are from two family businesses; the former official Strider Distributors, based in Australia and the UK. We had clear ideas born from 14 years of teaching children to ride, distributing thousands of balance bikes and listening to customers.

“Amazing little balance bike... stylish and feels well built... works beautifully. Front wheel is tricky to put on and I did need support from the company both via email and telephone. They ended up sending a replacement part and this was sorted within 48 hours from initial contact to fully working bike. Things go wrong but it's how the company deals with it that matters... they dealt with it perfectly.”

“My oldest daughter is 5 and never took to a balance bike. I purchase this bike for my 2 year old but to my surprise, my 5 year old has enjoyed it a lot more! Compared to the previous balance bikes we bought, the Kidvelo is really lightweight and I think is the main reason why she has taken to it so well. My 2 year old is getting to grips with the bike and she has taken to it well after one day one it. I might have to buy another one so they have one each now!”

“My son absolutely loves his Rookie 12. He literally won't go on a day out without it! As well as looking great, people always remark on how light the bike is. It also copes well with uneven terrain and my son is now whizzing around his local bike track! Great purchase and amazing customer service from Kidvelo!”

“It is a lovely bright colour, I love that the seat is easily adjustable with no need for any tools. The best thing about it is that it is incredibly light, it is no issue at all to carry it when my daughter wants a break even though I have back issues. She absolutely loves it and is getting the hang of it straight away. The paint seems pretty chip resistant. It's a really fun looking bike with seemingly good proportions.”

“It’s a lovely bike but online it said suitable from 18 months but on the bike and packaging it clearly states 2+ years. My (above average height) daughter at 19 months is too small to reach the floor on the lowest seat setting. So that was quite disappointing and I may have bought from another brand if I had known this one wouldn’t be suitable for a few months.”

Hello Alexandra, Thank you for taking the time to review. The bike is suitable from 18 months, as it passes safety testing for that age group. However, when buying a bike, the way to measure whether your child will fit, is using inseam. Hence we specify all the dimensions, to allow you to make an informed decision. I am sure that you appreciate, every child has different limb lengths and proportions, so overall height isn't as important as leg length, especially when sizing for toddlers. Regarding the label on the bike, we are now in the process of redesigning it, to reflect the 18 months age, rather than 2 years, but thank you for bringing this to our attention. Kind Regards Karen

“Great little bike. My little one loves it. It was easy to assemble, and it's surprisingly lightweight. Just perfect for a 3 year old to get into biking. Very happy with the purchase.”
