Kidvelo® Bikes is an exciting new brand launched in 2021, specialising in manufacturing kids' balance bikes, some which convert to lightweight pedal bikes. The founders are from two family businesses; the former official Strider Distributors, based in Australia and the UK. “We bought this bike for my son’s second birthday and it’s been amazing! I love how light it is - no problem at all to carry, when we have to. Though we rarely need to now as it’s pretty much always in use. My 2yr old takes it everywhere and 4months in has already got pretty proficient at gliding, bumping up and down kerbs, mounting and dismounting and walking alongside pushing it for roads etc. I’m sure the fact he has taken to it so well is due to how easy it is for him to handle, due to its good design and light weight. And if he’s not using it his 5yr old sister is always up for a go while he has a carry! My only slight quibbles with it (and they are slight) are that the rubber handlebar handles have a tendency to slowly slide off and then bend when the bike is carried by one handle. Easily rectified by pushing back on again, but a slight annoyance. And that we’ve twice had the front wheel come loose and need to be retightened (though it gets some pretty tough usage, and both times it’s lasted a long way with a loosened wheel without it actually coming off). On the smallest height setting there was also an issue with the bottom of the seat shank catching on particularly big kerbs, but that has gone away now the seat is a little higher, and clearly if the shank was shorter there’d be less height range, so don’t think that could be avoided. Not only has this bike been a major hit with my son, it’s also got his sister back into biking (her bike had been sitting pretty much unused for a while, but is now in regular use when they go out together). In fact we had to take the pedals back off her bike as it was leading to too many arguments on who got the balance bike!! All in all this bike has been excellent- a real hit. Plus the fact it looks like a ‘proper bike’ means he looks very cute on it and we get loads of comments when out and about! I’d definitely recommend this bike to anyone looking for a decent balance bike.”

“Fantastic first bike for our 2 year old. I think the fact it is extremely light weight in comparison to other balance bikes has helped him get the hang of riding it quickly. This is now his favourite way to get around outside the house, much quicker than walking!”

“This bike is absolutely amazing quality! Literally the best balance bike to start your little one of riding! It comes in beautiful colours, well painted, well made and easy to use! Amazing for the price too! My partner has been an avid bmxer for 15+ years so knows a thing or two about bikes and even he is impressed by it and says what great quality it is!”
