“As I purchased this in late September, I've not had the chance to test it in sunshine, but it is a strong and well-made parasol. The base sections, once filled with sand and water, seem very solid and heavy and I don't think that parasol will take off anytime soon! Obviously you wouldn't leave it open in very strong winds anyway. My only slight disappointment, and the reason for giving this 4 and not 5 stars, is that I would have preferred to be able to operate the swivel of the parasol via a foot pedal. I don't find it easy to pull out out the locking pin. I'm not even sure I'm doing it correctly as I seem to have to lower the parasol partway before I can loosen the locking pin. Otherwise, lovely ... lights and speaker work very well.”
