“Everything was as we expected it would be. Good points. The dining room exceeded our expectations as did the BBQ hut. All facilities (pool, games room, hot tub, tvs) were good and well received. Kitchen area was great. There was a Quick response to matters we pointed out requiring attention although maybe some should have been dealt with before our arrival. Not so good points Disappointed with the outdoor children’s facilities. The trampoline was out of action. The Wendy house was uninhabitable. No goal nets. The whole play area was under par, as we had 10 children with us these facilities were one of the reasons for making the booking. The heating in some areas could have been better particularly in the main lounge.”

“We came to The Lodge to celebrate a 50th birthday. We were a group of 17 adults. A mix of family and friends. We loved it. The facilities were excellent and the house had a wonderful feel to it. We ordered in Indian one night and used the BBQ hut which is fabulous. The dining room is particularly impressive - having a place you can all sit together was great. The house sits in such a beautiful secluded position. I would certainly return.”

“As a property, The Lodge had all the amenities that we wanted for our three generation family celebration, swimming pool, games room, media room, spacious lounge, kitchen and garden and eight bedrooms. Linda, the manageress was very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble for her. The property was scrupulously clean, bed linen etc of a high standard and the gardens well maintained. However, we felt that there needs to me more attention to detail and a little more TLC given to the property to accommodate a family ranging in age from 4 to 74 years of age for a week: * the edging round the pool was loose and fell off several times, causing a trip hazard * the equipment in the media room was very temperamental * travel cots (which our group did not need) took up space in wardrobes * several cupboards/drawers in kitchen and utility full of I know not what * broken fridge interiors * freezer in desperate need of defrosting * the crockery did not match and even then, insufficient small plates * an abundance of wine glasses but insufficient water/juice glasses * insufficient cutlery and a lack of serving spoons * most of the pans were too small to cook for the large numbers of people that the house accommodates * the integrated kitchen sink, whilst being very chique, is impractical As it is presented at the moment, The Lodge is a great place for a hen party but lacks finesse for a family celebration, which is a great shame as it has the makings of a fab place.”

“We had a Lovely family holiday with age group from 9 year to 90 years. Everyone enjoyed themselves.The swimming pool and Hot tub where well used. The all year round BBQ was a well received new addition. We are talkng about coming back again next year”
