“Fantastic house, grounds and setting. Grandchildren lived in the pool and games room. One or two small issues early on, but an email to the owner and the house manager attended promptly to fix them. This was a 3 generation family celebration and everyone had a great time.”

“House, gardens and facilities are excellent. The house was spotless, very dog-friendly and the pool a delight. Lovely setting with great views and several walks from the gate.”

“There are not enough superlatives to accurately express just how wonderful a property this is. The style and tastefulness add to the superbly equipped accommodation......we wanted for nothing during our stay. The gardens and pool are such a delight that we found ourselves spending much more time in them than we anticipated. But the icing on the cake was the superb responsiveness of the owner who went out of her way to make sure all was in order for us - even when events eg a power cut - were totally out of her hands.”

“Taikoo is a truly magnificent house and we couldn't have wished for a better place to celebrate a family birthday. The furnishings were luxurious, without losing the 'homely' touch, and the whole experience was a warm and welcoming one. We loved the pool area and the calm tranquil feel of the garden space, and beyond. The lovely owners were most accommodating and friendly on the one occasion we needed to contact them and it is definitely a place we will consider returning to in the future.”

“Very special place! Beautiful furnishings and curtains in spacious bedrooms and living rooms. Well fitted kitchen with useful 4 oven AGA. Immaculate swimming pool with lovely changing rooms and hot showers. Great to have Sonos music system. Extensive grounds with swings and Play houses. Dogs were very happy in their special room with separate entrance. Plenty of walking on Dartmoor and short walk to lovely pub Only fault, apart from minor hiccup with heating was the draw cords on the blinds which should be secured”

“The house and pool are just lovely. By far the best house we have ever stayed in. The little touches around the house make it feel like a home. Extremely well equipped. Highly recommended.”

“Taikoo is an absolutely wonderful house, we were a party of 12 and the house worked for us all beautifully. It feels welcoming and homely yet plush and luxurious, the decor and lay out has been so thoughtfully put together. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants, luxury accommodation with stunning views and fantastic walks/pub on your door step.”
