“Firstly we feel we were mislead by the name of the property. How can you call it Sea spray Cabin if, in fact, it's postal address is 'The White House?. Pre, booking the property, we had discounted the 'White House', on another website, as the property description advised a field between the garden and the dunes, that was sometimes used as an overflow car park!Your description was misleading by using the phrase, 'is the garden the beach, or the beach the garden', with no reference to the field in between the property and the back of the dunes .Your description of the back garden also misleads into thinking you can see, hear and smell the beach and the sea whilst on the decking. This is entirely not the case, as the noise of the main road drowns out any waves and the property is set too far back from them to be heard. The trees at the bottom of the garden blocked any view of anything. The garden was scruffy, the grass had not been mowed, old apples and pears were squashed everywhere, a broken deck chair, and an unmentioned, in the particulars, old caravan stuck in the corner. The house, whilst stylish, had dirty watermarked curtains and cushion covers, windows in need of a clean, nothing to make up a fire with and no comfortable chairs to sit and relax in. The front of the house was also uninviting and scruffy. It was difficult to open the front door. I had spoken with one of your colleagues to enquire if and what might be expected in a welcome hamper, in order to prepare for things to take, and was advised that there would be a 'basic' hamper, but could not confirm exactly what might be in it. We took the term 'basic' to mean at least some milk, butter and bread, but none of these were to be found. On enquiry upon arrival,we were told this was never to have been expected!? We can praise the excellent beds and linen. The bathroom was good and the towels pristine and fluffy. Overall, we enjoyed our weekend break, but felt let down by the over promised marketing of the property through your inaccurate descriptions.”
