“Everything was even better than I expected and the hamper of food and wine where a pleasant surprise. The house had lots of intriguing things, like the hidden door to a study and the bunk bed which had a door beneath leading to a little house. The pool was brilliant as was the hot tub. All very well equipped and to a high standard, we didn’t want to leave. I would highly recommend this to my friends. Thank you for our wonderful time there. Joan Dixon.”

“We had a wonderful holiday at Lamper Head,. The situation was superb, the grounds and view to die for. The house itself was very comfortable and well equipped with lots of thoughtful touches. We had been looking for a child friendly house and this just was perfect. The children were delighted with the pool, all the games, the playroom. the fire pit and the first morning they were up at 6.00am jumping on the trampoline!! The adults also loved the pool and the hot tub, the secret study and of course ….the bar! The children did not want to go home....and neither did we!! Only criticism would be downstairs bedrooms are rather small and lacking in storage facilities and in the zen room, the bed has a nasty creak! We had to sleep at the bottom!”

“Views were truly amazing and great facilities although the pool room was very hot, like a sauna. Heather was brilliant. We had no WiFi but that was not her fault. We found the ‘Zen’ room a little noisy when people were on the deck above. We could have done with a carving board and some more chopping boards.”

“We had the most amazing week at stunning Lamper Head. The beautiful house was spacious and well equipped with plenty of room for 14 people. Set in beautiful grounds the house has stunning views over the River Dart. The amazing pool and and hot tub was a real hit with the children aged between 5-14 yrs. The housekeeper was very helpful and looked after us unobtrusively all week. The house could not have been better for a 70th birthday celebration for the whole family.”

“The house is amazing, even better than the pictures we had seen! It was spacious and the swimming pool and hot tub were a highlight for all the family. The beds were clean and comfortable, and the kids enjoyed the bunk bed room. The large dining table made family meal times social and fun as we could all sit around the table. Fantastic holiday - thanks so much!”

“A stunning property in a unique location. There is so much space and so much to do that we didn't leave the property all weekend! Kids were fully entertained by pool/garden/swings/zip wire, and there was plenty of space for adults to spread out and relax, too. The house is well-equipped. A bit more dated than the photos suggest, and in need of some new garden furniture, but otherwise just perfect.”
