A wonderful weekend shared by the whole family for birthday celebrations. We ranged in age from 8 month old twins to 80 year olds. The house is beautiful and so comfortable and warm. There was never a dull moment as there is so much to entertain. We never saw teenagers glued to phones and the babies did much swimming. We can also recommend The Bat&Ball pub where we were fed a wonderful Sunday lunch and the staff are amazing

The house was perfect in every respect for our party despite 4 of the children having to share double beds! Everything was spotless and Rachael very welcoming on our arrival. The facilities were everything we could have wished for , especially as we had a real heat wave for almost the entire week. Perfectly positioned, beautiful grounds. ..no one wanted to leave

Absolutely wonderful property. We had a family reunion weekend and the property and pool, games room had everything to entertain all ages. Rachael made us so welcome with flowers, champagne, eggs and milk. A really lovely touch. Thank you.

We were very disappointed to find out that the house was separated with other people owning the back of the house. This meant that there was a noise policy from 11pm at night. This is not clear from the photos or is it mentioned in the details. So felt this was misleading. The house was not as clean as it should be and the sofas smell and need proper cleaning. There was a strong smell of drains throughout the house - not sure if the septic tank needed emptying. I had specifically asked if the house is decorated for xmas and was told that it is 'very festive'. There was one tree, which was poorly decorated, and some fresh table decorations (which were lovely) but that is not very festive. If we had been told correctly, we would have bought our own tree and decorations down. The man came to put chemicals in the swimming pool on the Thursday at about 12 noon (when we were leaving on the Friday - which didn't make much sense) and they were so strong that we couldn't use the pool for the rest of the day. None of these things spoiled our holiday but I wanted to make you aware so that these things can be changed in the future. At £6500 for the week, you would not expect the drains and the sofas to smell and not be able to use the swimming pool. We had an issue with the hot water which Sarah (our emergency contact sorted out for us - she was really helpful).

An amazing experience in a fabulous house in a wonderful setting. The pool, tennis court , hot tub and sauna kept all 3 generations of the family fully busy the whole time.

A nice old property but tired decor throughout and really wasn't furnished to a high standard. Including: - faulty washing machine, - broken iPod dock - door to pool house handle smashed and on the floor. - missing knobs on the furniture, - toilet seat hinges rusty and broken, - crockery and cutlery struggled to make 16 matching sets, - TV and projector low budget at best and wires everywhere - court yard gardens were overgrown with weeds. The house was also dirty on arrival, the oven was grimy, the carpets were stained and everything was covered in general muck. It was also quite messy with old mops, baby seat, step ladder, ironing board, vacuum cleaner all strewn about the house not stored out of sight. The BBQ was filthy and tatty plus the ignition didn't work with no matches in the house...we had to go out and fetch some (luckily one of our party hadn't been drinking when we tried to light it!!) We appreciate that the owner was trying to be helpful with 'notes' around the house however, everything had a lengthy, homemade sign cellotaped or blue tac'ed to it. These often unnecessary signs made the house feel scruffy and dingy. All of the above really detracted from the luxury feel as advertised and certainly didn't reflect our expectations given the price paid. Jams, eggs, cake and milk were a lovely touch on arrival and Rachel was pleasant and welcoming. House is in a great location and we certainly made use of the pool in such fantastic weather. But overall, we were quite disappointed.

Hello Victoria, I am sorry to read your review and also disappointed that we weren't given the opportunity to rectify some of these issues during your stay. We are on hand 7 days a week, 12 hours a day and would have done everything in our power to help, had we been informed. I will of course forward your feedback onto the property owner so that the issues can be addressed for future guests. I am glad that you were able to enjoy the pool and do hope that you made some lovely memories during your stay. Best wishes, Jessica Head of Client Services

Cedar Grange is a great house in the most beautiful grounds. The indoor pool, jacuzzi and sauna top it off. Perfect place for a family get together and to just chill out in the surroundings.
