“We enjoyed being at Barford House. The internal decor, setting, facilities, etc are all excellent. We were greeted well upon arrival and given a good house tour. Positive stand-outs were the games room, views from the bedrooms, wood burners (well stocked), high quality, comfortable beds, and the kitchen with ample utensils, crockery and cooking equipment. Hard to find fault with the property - a little better pre-stocking would be great (eg, milk and bread in addition to tea & coffee), a coffee/Nespresso machine, better lighting (appreciate it is eco, but insufficient in the kitchen and flickered in the mater bedroom) and the hot tub takes quite a while to heat, especially in the absence of a cover). Generally the house was clean upon arrival, but lots of flies (dead & alive) in one bedroom and there was dirt/debris on the floor next to the bed in the master bedroom (eg, pen, hair clip, cotton ear buds) - so a little more attention to detail would be good.”
