“I actually bought this to use as a shaver, as I am sick of cheaper ones having rubbish batteries that die after a few short years. This one has a lithium ion battery and when running, although louder, it has a much stronger sound about it and the trimmer itself feels solid and weighty in the hand. It is only just about suitable for a trim to stubble, but I don't care if it is slightly more awkward to use for that, if it is better built and will last that's what matters. It glides through longer hair without a problem. The trimmer came in a handy mini flight case and has a few attachments and some cleaning items. You can also use it whilst plugged in if you want to. I haven't found out how many shaves I can get before another charge is needed, but so far it has had about 15-20 mins use and the tone of the buzz hasn't weakened at all. Just be aware that the battery doesn't slowly and steadily lose power when in use like NiMh ones do. The trimmer just immediately cuts off when the battery is exhausted. I did notice the tone of the buzz drops very slightly though so that is a clue, but it is quite subtle. I have a positive feeling about this product. Hopefully I won't be back in a few years to say that the battery has packed up! The only thing isn't quite so good is that the cutting height adjustment lever is rather bendy, I really hope it won't snap. Lastly, not a huge deal, but Just My Look, where I got this from, sent me a black trimmer and not the white one as shown in my order. Rather irritating, but I couldn't be bothered to faff about and send back and wait for another one.”
