Extra large latex-free unisex hospital socks with grips underneath the sole and on top of the feet are worn to reduce the risk of patients falling in hospital and in care homes. The double tread is important if the socks slip around the feet in bed when stepping onto the floor the patient can be confident that there will be some non-slip tread touching the floor to prevent falling.

“Shopping for slipper socks is VERY frustrating. Suppliers have different colour coding and it has taken four attempts to identify your socks as the one's that come in the right size and design. Your prices and delivery costs are high but the product is good. I realise that a customer needing a few pairs of socks per year is unimportant compared with a contract for a major hospital where contracts could run into millions per year.”
