These "Dri-shield" wipeable healthcare pillows provide a wipe clean surface on the pillow cover. The cover is flame retardant to BS7175 Source 5. The cover is a pale green tint and the pillow inner is lightweight being filled with polypropylene. Comfortable filling which is not too stiff or too soft ideal for a range of patients. Most importantly the wipeable healthcare pillows are a standard size measuring 46cm by 69cm therefore these pillows will fit in standard sized pillow covers. Supplied to hospitals and nursing homes this pillow is both convenient and cost effective. Please note that although this pillow is wipe clean it is not fully waterproof.

“Hi there. I recently purchased the wipe clean hospital pillows. I have spent a fortune trying to find the right ones for me as I need something ultralight and soft. I have COPD and need to sleep sitting up. I have an NHS bed and have searched for 4 years for the right pillows for me. During a recent hospital stay I found that the pillows they use there were perfect for me I could put a pillow behind my head and sleep without waking with neck pain due to it's weight. And the pillow although being covered in some kind of wipe clean material hardly causes my head to sweat and I'm amazed as I do have night sweats! I'm so sorry for the length of the review but I have looked so long and spent so much money. When you have have to sleep sitting upright it causes you a fair amount of discomfort. You end up with a numb bum and that starts the backache and neck pain. I found the bed supported my back but normal pillows were bulky and heavy, then I stumbled upon Interweave Textiles (I did try another make and they are in the bin). The pillows are perfect although the delivery charge was OTT I thought sod it I just wanted the pillows. And they are bloody lovely!!”
