“Having owned a lot of Rolex's over the years - submariner, submariner-date, explorer I and II and the old sea-dweller (16600), I was in the market for the discontinued Sea Dweller 4000 (116600) as it is the last of the sea dwellers with a 40mm case. Lots of research later I pulled the trigger and could not be happier. Despite being rated to a far deeper depth than the Submariner, the 116600 wears smaller than a sub and is the perfect fit for my wrist which measures 6.75". A perfect combination of 'tool' watch with luxury, the watch is no longer 'top heavy' like its predecessor and the glide-lock makes it a breeze to size and adjust. It is rare having only been produced for a couple of years and far more exclusive than a Submariner. For lay folks, it is 'just like a sub', for those of us in the know it is an exceptional piece of engineering that stands out from the crowd.”
