The new Turbo (HD-TVI) range from HIkvision delivers 1080p camera performance at a price point not that much higher than analogue CCTV via the same coaxial wiring. Not only that but the new turbo DVRs are backwards compatible, so are capable of recording existing analogue cameras at the same time offering an ideal upgrade route for many!Mix and match 5-8 bullet or mini dome type cameras - 4 way PSU included as standardThe DS-2CE56D5T-IRM dome and DS-2CE16D5T-IT3 bullet camera features: HD1080PExternal Camera1 / 3" Progressive Scan CMOS3-AxisAdopt HDTVI Technology3.6mm LensOSD menu, 3D DNR, Smart IRDay/Night:ICRUp the Coax(via coaxial cable)12 VDCMax 20m/40m IRIP66

I have to say the comments I am about to make could be down to my poor understanding of the product I have bought, other than the infernal noise coming from the dvr cooling fan!!!. Why is it that the recorder is at 720p when 1080 is mentioned, is it because of my monitor spec? or is there an issue with the set up?. Also I am having issues with monitoring the cameras remotely, have bought a new smart phone for the very purpose. There were problems initially with setting up and scanning. I will pursue the aforementioned but would appreciate your input, the quality of pictures is I have to say amazing.

Hi Keith, you may well find you have to turn up the resolution in the cameras settings. Also on the default settings page the output monitor resolution will not be set to 1080p as default, instead it will be set to a lower resolution so to support the majority of monitors on initial boot up. It can then be turned up to supported resolutions appropriately. As with all of our kits we provide a FREE remote support service if you are stuck to configure the DVR and your modem for smartphone use. Drop us a line and while we are logged in we can check the resolution settings also!
