“Would be much better is split in to sub courses- would be very hard to sit an concentrate fully through the whole thing and is probably prone to skimming certain sections”

Thank you for the feedback on the Advanced GDPR course. The course is quite long and it is a rather dry subject. We recommend that people do the course in a few sessions and we keep track of progress so that people can dip in and out. But of course there is always a temptation to 'get it done' which might mean skimming through it as you suggest. We'll discuss this in the devlopment team and consider whether a few shorter sub courses might reduce this temptation.
