Humax Aura 4K Android TV Recorder 2TB (Refurbished) Reviews

The controller is cluttered with small buttons. My wife has poor vision and finds the white letters on red background on the recordings list hard to read.

Appalling implementation of subtitles. It does not retain your choice so you constantly have to keep switching them back on (three button presses) and you have to have to do the same for every recording you watch. I wish I had sent it back.

I have owned Humax FreeSat recorders for very many years and found them to be in a class of their own, A1 first class. If it's possible the Humax Aura is even better because of the years they have strived to improve the unit and the customer's use is even more enhanced. The only problem I have is finding which button to press to skip the adverts.

Arrived fast, complete and we'll packaged. Little by way of setup instructions, though as it has same connections as previous model connection was easy. Refused to do anything when first turned on. After several attempts I got a Humax symbol and waited a few minutes as it stepped through through the process. Not as easy to use as previous non android recorder. Items like subtitles and recordings are buried in menus. Using guide is slow as it takes several "OK" to get what you've chosen to appear on screen. I'm very much a click once person and loath the extra confirmation clicks.

Volume control clunky, recorder has already failed to work properly, guide too small to read easily. Not happy and may need to reject the recorder. The does not work with this model

Machine works brilliantly. Apart from its recording capabilities the fact it runs on Android means you can install a vast array of apps, as you can with a firestick. Makes a great "Media Centre".
