Cons; Unlike previous versions shame this box is limited to astra 28e channels only and not others such as, astra 19e, hotbird etc. Stb mode has no full page channel list hard work to edit! The box reverts to all channel's when woken it doesn't stay in favorite channel menu which means going through setting's menu to find it. Pros; Picture quality good. Fourth box from Humax since 2004, other refurbished boxes were much better. Sorry Humax if its not broke why fix it?

Excellent box with great Wi-Fi connection. Just fitted a cheap external HDD and it records and pauses just like a Freesat+ box. Very happy with purchase.

Bought this as a replacement for a 9yr old Humax model, mainly so we could plug in an external hard drive to get a hard drive recorder. At the Refurbished price this is very good value and one would never know it was refurbed; open the box and it looks 100% like new. It is a worthy replacement and useful update. It is better in every respect, rightly so: much faster to update schedule data, better user interface and screen displays, much easier to use generally. I bought a 500Gb external hard drive and this plugs in and works a treat, turning a low cost Freesat box into a very capable hard drive recorder for less than £100 all in. It would be more convenient if the USB connector for the hard drive was on the unit's front; it requires fumbling round the Humax back to connect a drive. Once recordings are on the drive, the drive is then not compatible with very old Humax models and it won't work with my 8yr old Foxsat. Humax support said it would work but it does not work as is the hard drive formats used across the Humax generations are not compatible. this is a minor point though. In all, the refurbished Humax is a good and excellent value purchase.
