“The decoder and remote are lightweight and flimsy considering the price. Also there is a noticeable delay when the programme guide is accessed using the remote. The battery compartment on our remote was faulty with poor battery contacts. We managed to fix these with a screwdriver but it is symptomatic of shoddy construction.”
“Waited for a entry level Humax Freesat box with wifi for a while, so as not to depend on homeplugs. Though I am mostly pleased with the box and it's features, I am disappointed with some of the on demand apps. ITV and Demand 5 apps are not full featured and the All4 app has a habit of corrupting after an advert. Though sometimes it works faultlessly and it is great, it is frustrating when it does keep corrupting and your trying to watch a series. If they could sort out these apps it would be 5 stars instead of 4.”
“Very pleased with this box so far. After having a satellite dish fitted at our holiday home and purchasing a Humax 1100S PVR, we realised we still needed a Freesat receiver for a second TV in the kitchen. The HB-1100S receiver fitted the bill perfectly: it's small in size and effectively turns the TV into a Smart TV at modest cost.
