A good easy to use Freeview recorder let down by a poor indicator light display which is hard to see in all but semi darkness. Better than the previous iteration but still not good enough. I also have purchased the Freesat version and the same goes for that.

As with all the humax PVRS the EPG is horrible to use, look at others and redesign it PLEASE, then do an over air update to the firmware.

My wife has complained for months that the dvr in our living room was too complicated for her to use and I should get a Humax like she has in the bedroom. Hers is only 500Gb so when I saw the Humax refurb offer on a 1Tb dvr I ordered one and put the other dvr in the spare bedroom, so I record all my motor sport and Police Interceptors on that one. I now use our refurbished Humax dvr in the living room to record all programs of shared interest, films and documentaries on. With 1Tb of memory I don't have to worry about deleting programs to make space for others. This way when we record a mini series of 6 or 8 programs, we can watch them back to back and this makes for a better viewing experience. The Humax dvr is simple to use and is quite a compact unit too, with discreet operating lights. Another useful function is the ability to program the remote control to turn the tv on. So when you press the power on button on the remote both the tv and dvr turn on at the same time. It doesn't sound a big deal but it is most convenient. New or refurbished Humax products offer very good value and we've found them to be simple and reliable to use.

This purchase was a replacement for an earlier Humax PVR. I do find the user interface of the earlier model - HDR-FOX T2 - to be smoother and better implemented and I particularly miss the skip forward functionality with recorded programmes (bypass adverts!), and the info function to see details of individual recorded programmes which are listed. Otherwise it has a lot of new features which are good. The wifi connection, however, seems a little unreliable if used on 5G but resolved that by switching to 2.4G. As my router is only 15 feet away and passes at right angles through a single blockwork wall I would have expected 5G to work better. Otherwise excellent product and would never know it had been refurbished.

Delivered in good time. Looks and works like new. 3rd Humax During the last few months as others have followed my recommendation and either bought them or I have sourced one for them.
