Installation was easy enough but I could not get the TV to work through the unit unless the HUMAX was powered up. I ended up splitting the aerial feed at the wall so the TV and Humax had their own dedicated aerial feed. My daughter can now watch TV without the Humax powered up. But it would have been easier if the Humax would allow a pass through

Hard and difficult to use Instructions not helpful wished I had bought identical replacement HDR 1800T which was a great machine

Machine looked new. Instructions are very poor. Customer service made no reply to two requests about finding where to listen and record radio programmes. Very poor. The programme selection, record and delete method is much slower than the previous models . I have had three previous machines from Humax. They last about three years and develop problems or die. I will seek an alternative make when this one dies.

I ordered the 2000T as a present for my sister as I knew it had the same software as my 5year old FOX t2 which has been excellent so I could give her instructions on how to set up her 2000T she is delighted with it and the bonus of a Humax 12 month warranty

I have owned a Humax Fox T2 for quite a few years and have been delighted with it's performance..Anyway...My upstairs TV does not have a modern tuner in it (despite the TV being a HD model) so I thought I'd buy the T2000 to replace my Fox T2 (in the living room) and move it upstairs and bring all the programs I need to my TV upstairs which cannot tune them.....SO...I decided to upgrade to the 2000T ( to put in my living room) but did not want to pay full price so I opted for a refurbished one direct from Humax ..thinking that if something went wrong then dealing with Humax themselves would be better....However...I'm glad that I did Not pay the full price because the T2000 is waaay slower at start up then my older model..plus of course you do not get a front window panel telling you what station you are on (something I was aware of but never realised how much i'd miss it)...The delivery from Humax was very good and the condition was like 'As New'...but I am dissapointed with the actual performance of the newer T2000 based on positive reviews I have read...Don't get me wrong... the interface is still very good and easy to use...but the start up time is cronic (even after Googling how to make it faster)..and that lack of front window (personal choice)...It does however look more up to date and smart compared to the newer versions (my opinion) and it fits well into my home cinema set up.. All in all....It was a fair buy for the money I paid and the performance (apart from start up) is fantastic...slick and easy to use...I would buy refurbished again direct from Humax, but I would study more on reviews first to find out every detail and flaw it might have...Cheers
