“We had been having problems operating our Humax set-top box for some time. To be fair, it was driving us up the wall. We tried changing the batteries, pressing the buttons slowly, and aiming the remote in different directions, all to no avail. We contacted Humax who suggested changing the frequency of the transmission or buying a new remote. The former did not work and we are well out of warranty so we bought a new remote. Money well spent, if only for our mental health.”
