“The FVP-4000T's software is appalling! I have a Humax Freesat box and have had other Humax boxes which were fine. You would not know that this box was a Humax box as its software is unlike any other! Live TV programmes will often freeze the picture momentarily but the sound carries on. This happens on one MUX which has a strong signal and quality and performs fine on the TV's tuner and other recorders I have. The H3 is OK but by no means perfect; when playing a recording you cannot easily skip forward or backwards, it will often drop out and go back to the menu. I have also had to do a 'Factory Reset' to access recordings from the FVP-4000t. Still work in progress with the software on both boxes.”

“This is my fourth Humax and it is a bit disappointing. The EPG for this latest FPV product is a much worse than the Humax HDR it replaced. We only replaced the old Humax as the HDMI output did not work with a Samsung TV. Search on the FPV is slow, limited in range, and difficult to use. The built in link to on demand services is quite good, but in general we've stopped using the Humax and stream through an ipad instead. Probably my last Humax product.”

“just received it and installed it. Very easy to set up. Working fine but I will update my review in a few weeks after I see how I will get on.”
