Air-fryer Cheddar cheese & chive scones Reviews

Very easy to follow recipe. My first time making scones. They turned out beautiful! I agree that extra 4 minutes in my airfrier was better.

I’ve made a lot of scones in my time. These were the GOAT - light, fluffy, almost melt in the mouth centres with crispy, golden outers and a real hit of cheese. Made in the processor with minimal handling and used plain flour with extra baking powder. The whole batch were demolished while still hot.

Hi Jo, thanks for the fabulous review! We're so happy to hear they worked out great, and thanks for sharing your success with using a processor and plain flour too! Enjoy your next batch. Big love, The Jamie Oliver Team

The scones were utterly delicious despite needing at least 16 minutes in the air fryer. 12 is simply not enough. Even after 16,the dough went stodgy if you compressed it

First attempt in using our first air fryer (had just watched the first episode of Jamie’s air fryer meals) did make a few adjustments. Firstly used dairy free pure instead of butter. (Find it works better when baking) And as we didn’t have any chives used spring onions instead. All I can say is they turned out pretty good. Only complaint I got was could I make them without the cayenne pepper next time . They were lovely and crispy on the outside and lovely and fluffy on the inside.

Oh yum.....loved them, they disappeared so quickly. I made the air fryer scones today.... a hit all round. So easy too, used my kitchen aid for mixing the batter and the air fryer to cook. Simples!

Quick to make. Tasted delicious. Used my Ninja air crisper, but definitely needed to batch cook them as 12 minutes not enough time for 6 wedges. We're under done on the first attempt. Will make again and try again. A good base to create variations.

Hi Diane, thanks for the great review! Your tip about batch-cooking is super-helpful. We're glad you were still able to make sure they all turned out perfect and delicious in your Ninja air crisper! Big love, The JO Team x

Brilliant recipe that resulted in light, flaky scones that melted in the mouth. It's now my go-to recipe for cheese scones.
