I love this Java coffee, which I had not tasted for quite a few years. Personally, it is one of the few I have bought from Higgins that I actually prefer brewed in a stove top espresso machine (and drunk with milk) as opposed to the pour-overs that I normally enjoy so much. The after-taste of Java is particularly good!

I had not tasted Java coffee in years and not fresh like this. It has become my new breakfast favourite and I normally brew it in a moka pot. Lovely flavour, quite distinctive.

The description on the website does state that Java is a love or hate! I decided to give it a try but it wasn't to my taste at all. I'm a lover of strong coffee, but I found the coffee very bitter. I'm sure the coffee is very good quality, so the 3 star rating just reflects my personal taste.

Smoky smell and taste of cigars, very dry, very unusual taste.

Great coffee. Fairly strong with a slight tobacco after taste, but also incredibly smooth. One cup normally isn't enough! It works really well in the Aeropress.
