“It was in actuality the absolute WORST taxi experience in my life. And, I've traveled the world extensively. I only did this service to ensure a very smooth transfer for my dog as we moved country. It was the most horrific experience. Our private paid taxi at a high cost actually just dropped us off 5 blocks from our rental, saying he couldn't drive there and was late for his next appointment because of me (he had driven off with our belongings when I went to collect my dog and failed to reunite at the planned location). So I had searched for him for 30 minutes burning through my cell phone service calling and calling for assistance. Going up and down levels searching for him, with a dog that had traveled 8 hours in crate for the first time in her life, and a crate they'd broken in transit. He had everything else we brought. Then he had the audacity to blame me that he'd be late for his next appointment.
He dropped us on a corner of a pedestrian area, and said there was no passage for a car and he was late. I had: 1 large suitcase that had lost a wheel in transit. A now broken dog kennel (two wheels had been broken), a large dog still semi-sedated and terrified, two large backpacks, and an electric piano in a very larger box. He dropped us 5 blocks from our location. Me and my semi-sedated dog & all our belongings.
By the grace of God, two lovely people saw me just begin to cry. They helped me carry everything 5 blocks -two uphill. I had ripped through €20 of cell phone charges trying to find him in the airport after he didn't reappear with our things. So I couldn't even use a map, or call for the keys to our flat. Even after we got our things to the building, it was another hour before we could get inside.
There is a MAIN ROAD in front of my building. He lied and didn't care. I paid an extravagant amount for the worst experience ever in a taxi in my life.
I 100% recommend avoiding this kind of racket. It was the WORST travel decisión I've ever made.”
