“The welcome when we came out of arrivals was good. There was a clear sign waiting for us and a lovely rep that spoke good English. We were a little put off by the need to stand up against a wall with a piece of paper with our names on but I guess this was to confirm that the right people were receiving the lift. We only waited a couple of minutes and our driver arrived. We were about to gather our items to head to the car and were stopped because the driver now wanted our photo up against the wall with the same piece of paper! Seems overkill!
The driver didn’t speak more than two words of English however he was already briefed on where we were going so luckily we didn’t need to speak to him and he was silent for the whole trip. We had two standard 23kg size suitcases which is quite normal for two people travelling. The driver didn’t seem very happy about this and when we arrived at the car I could understand why. He seemed to have so much music equipment and speakers in his boot that there was barely enough room to fit any cases in. Not a very practical car for doing airport runs for holiday makers with cases. Everything seemed to be quite an effort for him but once we were in the car then it was fine. The car was clean and we felt safe and arrived on time. The reduction in rating was the strange constant photo taking, lack of customer service from the driver and being made to feel like an inconvenience for having suitcases.”
