“You just make do with substandard companies in some countries
I have taxis with you all year around but I think that in some countries you just “make do”. Alcudia, Fuengirola, Faro, first class service, excellent companies that you deal with – JJ Taxi’s in Malta are one of the worst experiences that I have had.
Arrived Wed night – 13.11.2019 – to be picked up at the airport – no sign of a taxi – I had received a text from you stating that they would be there. Phoned the emergency local number – no answer, phoned your support number in the UK – well waited 10 mins to be connected, then I was told by the person on the phone that “Holiday Taxis did not send me a me a text regarding my arrival”,- so the screenshot of a text from you that I have attached is a figment of my imagination is it ? then “well have a look outside”…..where there was about 15 taxis but none with the name cook coming up anywhere. Was then told “ do you mind waiting while I call Malta”, the I was told “ He is by Costa Coffee” – well there were about 8 taxis by Costa Coffee – so now its 11:20 pm and still not in a taxi. Finally someone comes up and says “Are you Cook” – he looked as if he had just got out of bed – we were then led to what he constituted as a taxi – no taxi sign, it was a 10-12 year old car that obviously was a family car as it had toys, coats etc in the back . We then went to our hotel – so I was not greatly pleased.
On our return it was even worse. Receive a text from you that states to be at the meeting point some 15 mins prior to collection – there was I in Reception at the waterfront hotel @ 3:45 am – 4.10 arrives no taxi – called number in Malta – took 5 minutes to answer – was now 4:15 and was told “taxi will be there in 10 mins”. 4:30 am the taxi turned up – I have a picture and video that I took at the hotel to prove that the taxi was late – you can have them to obtain the time and date stamp if required.
When I state “Taxi turned up “ – it was the oldest, dirtiest and smelliest car I have ever been in and the driver, I have no wish to get personal but I really do not think a driver should snort, clear his throat, cough up phlegm and then spit it out of the window on the way to the airport. Wonderful ride back. I couldn’t wait to get out of the car – I felt sick……..
Suggestion – as with the rubbish taxi firm you have in Tenerife that sends 2 people out on a 40 seater bus – Get Rid of JJ Taxis as your provider in Malta – They are doing you no favours at all.”

“Have used this company on many occasions but unfortunately this trip was not up to usual standards. On arrival we were unable to find our driver, who was late arriving, and the vehicle was not as expected for a private trip.”
