“Was picked up from the airport and dropped off at the hotel with no issues. The driver told me I would be fetched from the same spot on my return.
I confirmed my return trip the day before and got there 10 minutes early. After waiting 20 minutes (10 minutes past my pickup time) I contacted "Best Transfers 4 U" (the company that actually runs the shuttles for "Holiday Taxis") only to be told my driver had been and gone as I was not there! I explained I was there and had been for 20 minutes only to find out the driver had gone to the front of the hotel, but I was waiting on the side where the original driver told me I would be fetched from! I was waiting on the corner with a view of the front of the hotel and the street I was dropped doff on, so I would have thought I would have seen somebody waiting in front of the hotel, but I didn't (the cars do not have any logo's on so not easily identifiable). The person on the other end of the phone simply said I need to email my complaint through and there was nothing he could do, not his problem,
This obviously left me in an extremely tight position as I had a plane to catch and no transport. I had no idea where the taxi ranks were or even how to get hold of a taxi so ended up running to the train station, where I knew there was a taxi rank, but alas, no taxis! Luckily there was a train leaving in 30 minutes and along with getting a taxi on the other side meant I scraped through to my plane with minutes to spare (and tired and sweaty from all the running). The plane was completely full so if I had missed my plane then I have no idea how long it would take to find another flight (or how much it would cost along with accommodation).
In this day and age I would have thought the driver could at least call my mobile phone to find out where I was. A one minute call would have saved a LOT of frustration!
I have emailed Holiday Taxis on my return 2 weeks ago who have forwarded my email to Best Transfers 4 U but have had no further replies. I would have thought they would at least refund my return trip at a minimum, but I'm not holding my breath :-(”
