Invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, the Virobloc safety ring was improved in 2000 on all the Opinel ranges. It is also now possible to lock the blade in the closed position (safety during carrying). In addition to the ultra safe locking system, the rounded tip on this model is perfect for a first camping knife. The Sandvik stainless steel, developed by Opinel is renowed for its incomparable cutting qualities and does not require any special washing upkeep.
