The Schrade Frontier 52 is a large fixed blade knife that makes big tasks feel like little ones. The knife boasts a 1095 high carbon steel blade (full tang) which is 18cm in length with a drop point shape and a sabre grind.
The F52 also features a deep finger choil for increased control and an extremely grippy black TPE textured handle. The handle has been ergonomically shaped and includes jimping for additional functional grip.
As well as getting the knife, the Schrade Frontier 52 comes complete with a black polyester belt sheath, ferro rod and diamond sharpening stone. Essentially everything you need to carry and maintain your blade in the field.

This knife is BIG and will be great for chopping. The blade was Far from sharp out-of-the-box. I did eventually get a good edge, but Not from using the included diamond sharpener, which is SO Totally Useless that it really only serves as a sales gimmic. The 1095 steel must be exceptionally tough in my blade as I tried a number of different stones to get a suitable edge and I eventually got it satisfactorily sharp by using a three-stage kitchen knife sharpener... I've thrown the diamond 'sharpener' away!It would also have been nice if the spine of the knife had a sharp right-angle edge for striking the included ferro rod but I use a designated scraper for ferro rods anyway. The sheath is good.

This is a big heavy knife which looks a real beast. Lots of reviews on YouTube and it's 50/50 on people's opinions. It's a big but comfortable knife with a ok sheath. I wouldn't abuse this knifes 1095 steel like I would my esee 6 or BK 2 but it will hold up to most stuff. It's a cheap big heavy knife in 1995 so should be good but the knife is made in China so....

Sturdy, heavy chopper. Shallow convex grind and mine was sharp enough to use out of the box but 1 minute with a 1200grit diamond plate and a strop was all it needed to make good feather sticks. Bigger hands might want a single layer of cord round the grip. For £60 it's terrific value.

Extremely impressed with this blade almost 1/4 inch thick full tang construction, handle material Extremely comfortable, well balanced, razor sharp straight outa the box , for the price this knife is an absolute beast , I'd buy one just ta leave in ya backpack, 4x4 whatever ,would've preferred a kydex style sheath but that's just personal preference, awesome quality overall absolutely no issues at all
