The Rough Ryder Reserve Original Clasper Pattern features a 8.55cm (3.37") D2 tool steel clip point blade with a match strike pull and a satin finish.

“Firstly HH, Rough Ryder, not Rough Rider. You have to search both to see the entire range. Maddening. Having been impressed with the fit and finish of my RR Classic Carbon II I was keen to try a Reserve model. I wasn't disappointed by the Clasper. Sharp from the box, no gapping, blade centred, smooth transitions from handle to bolsters, pins and shield perfectly flush, great walk and talk. This is a good size folder and feels great in the hand, I'm a fan of the big belly blade shape too. I do have a couple of gripes, in the folded position the corner of the blade is exposed and quite sharp. It's a bit jarring compared to the rest of the flowing lines of the knife and unpleasant to catch a finger on. The other gripe is the premium we have to pay here in the UK for a knife made in China. Our US friends pay around half what we do. I know RR and RRR are US design but manufacture is not so why the UK mark up? Incidentally despite HH dropping Royal Mail I still got next day delivery with the cheapest post option.”
