The Rough Ryder Black Mule Bowie features a 9 inch, 3Cr13 stainless steel blade in the classic Bowie style. This full tang beauty has a black textured Polymer handle with a sturdy guard and hollow rivets. It's a monumental 39.5cm in overall length and weighs in at 558g. It is supplied with a black nylon sheath with belt loop.

“I bought the RR Black Mule as a general purpose work knife for dealing with fire logs and kindling. It is a magnificent looking knife, beautifully balanced and a nice weight. The grip is good and you do not feel uncomfortable even doing heavy work. I tried it out doing some batoning of dried logs that are generally very hard to split. The Mule went through them like a hot knife through butter. The back of the blade is quite wide which enables a mallet to get a good grip and it also acts as great wedge. The weight and balance of the blade make it great for using as an axe. All round it is a superb knife. Throw in the great price and you have a winner.”

“Yes it looks like a very famous expensive American branded one (that you cant get) but at a fraction of the price its a bargain, big solid strong and a great sheath, delivery in less than 24 hours so cant fault HH”

“I came over to rough rider from being a staunch cold steel man, and l am not disappointed in any way.Everything about this knife is absolutely spot on, from the stunning looks to the way it feels in the hand you literally feel spoilt by it for the price. The blade comes quite sharp and ready to work, the sheath is more than fit for purpose and one of the best of it's type l have seen. If l had to criticise one thing it would be the way all manufacturers insist on putting the latch on the blade and in this case it does try to cut it if you're not careful. But that isn't just this brand it's all of them so I won't mark it down for that as such, minor annoyance. All in all, I'm just in love with this knife and give it a solid 9.9 out of ten.”

“Outstanding Knife at a great Price.Inspired by a much more expensive and rare Bowie Knife, the Rough Rider Knife is Exceptional in its own right. A real Work Knife with a strong well ground very sharp edge. It's shape means it has excellent Chopping qualities while its balance and Hilt design ensures good retention and effect. A great Utility Knife for Shelter/ Fire building or for Food Prep etc.Combined with a reasonable Nylon Sheath, this is a great bargain Bowie. Mine was a most Welcome Gift but If anything happened to it I know I would replace it a.s.a.p. !”
